Give every tool a purpose
Website and business tools with a clear purpose.
These are services I use across my business portfolio. Choose based on the job you need done, your budget, and the vendor’s current terms.
WordPress hosting · HostGator
This website runs on WordPress at HostGator. I use Namecheap for domain registration. These are parts of my current setup; choose your own services around the job you need done and the cost you can support.
Relationship disclosure: The HostGator and Namecheap links below are ordinary provider links with no affiliate tracking. Any affiliate links elsewhere on this page have a nearby commission disclosure.
HostGator offers hosting for WordPress websites. Check the current plan’s website limits, storage, support, backup options, and renewal terms before purchasing.
Who should consider it?
A creator or small business owner who wants to run a WordPress website on a web host. It may be a poor fit if the renewal cost exceeds your budget, you need more resources than the plan allows, or your existing host already meets your needs.
Check the full cost before choosing
- Compare the introductory term with the renewal rate and total amount due today.
- Check the website limit, storage, backups and restore options, support, cancellation terms, and any paid extras.
- Separate domain registration, domain renewal, mailbox needs, and email marketing costs in your budget.
- Ask how migration handles email, DNS records, and a separate checkout subdomain.
This describes the services I use, without promising that the same setup will suit every business.
Domain names and business email
A domain is your address; hosting serves your website. I use Namecheap for domain registration and HostGator for this website’s hosting. Check extension availability, renewal charges, and transfer conditions before choosing a registrar.
Domain email, such as hello@yourdomain.com, is separate from a permission-based newsletter. Check mailbox storage, sending limits, device setup, and migration before switching your business email. I use GetResponse for permission-based email marketing across my business portfolio.
Migration checklist: Make a backup; inventory existing DNS and mail settings; set up and test the destination; plan the DNS change; test HTTPS, forms, checkout, and email; keep the old service active until the change is verified.

Email · GetResponse
I use GetResponse across my business portfolio, and it is the planned email platform for this brand. Give visitors a useful reason to subscribe, collect permission, and follow up with messages that help them take the next step.

Checkout and delivery · Zylvie
A Ryan Glenn store is planned for store.ryanglenn.net on Zylvie. Before opening it, each product needs a clear description, price, delivery method, and support information. Checkout and delivery should be tested together.

A form that only needs a signature should not hold up the rest of your day. Explore eSign for ordinary business paperwork on iPhone and iPad, with a checklist for reviewing and returning the completed file.
